Montana is well known for its connection to dinosaurs – we have quite a dinosaur trail, after all. But if you don’t have time to hunt for fossils all over Montana, just visit the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman. The world-class exhibits will blow your mind.
In these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list at a later date.
It also happens to be accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, which is huge. Of the 33,000 museums in the country, fewer than 1,100 have this honor.

The Montana T. Rex was found near Lake Fort Peck in 1997, and it’s one of the most complete dinosaur skeletons ever found.

No wonder people from all over the country (and beyond) come to see it.

There are always changing exhibits from around the world, regional and natural history exhibits, lectures, educational programs, and even a full planetarium.

These permanent exhibitions depict the cultural and social changes made by those who inhabited this region before us.

Luckily, it’s open daily (excluding public holidays) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore.
If you can only visit one museum in Montana, you’ll definitely want to visit this one. To plan your trip, check the current timetable on the official site.
Address: Museum of the Rockies, 600 W Kagy Blvd, Bozeman, MT 59717, USA
