Museum of illusions, an international museum franchise, opens in fall 2022 at the Ally Charlotte Center.
What: The museum will feature 60-80 interactive illusions that will play different tricks on your mind. For example, in a room, you will move from corner to corner and appear to grow or shrink.
- Illusions will also be explained. You will learn the science behind how illusions produce their effect.
- Expect it to take between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours to walk through the exhibit.
Zoom out: The Museum of Illusions started in Croatia in 2015. There are now more than 30 sites already open and under construction around the world.
- You can find all their locations here.
- Fun fact: Charlotte will be the largest of all US Museum of Illusions locations.
My thought bubble: Mixing in-person experiences with Instagrammable opportunities is nothing new in Charlotte.
- From temporary events like the annual Jingle City and Immersive Van Gogh holiday pop-up bar, to local businesses like Babe Cave, there has been a concerted effort to design activities with photo-worthy moments.
And after: Ticket prices will be available closer to the opening date.
